WATCHMAKER | Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Xu Beihong Collection: Enamel Horses Leap onto the Wrist
To celebrate the upcoming Lunar Year of the Horse, Jaeger-LeCoultre proudly presents three new models from the Reverso Tribute Enamel "Xu Beihong" series, all crafted in 18K white gold. Xu Beihong, hailed as a pioneer of modern Chinese painting, is renowned for his ink paintings of horses—symbols of vitality, elegance, and strength in Chinese culture. To reinterpret this iconic equestrian art, Jaeger-LeCoultre has dedicated its Métiers Rares™ atelier, combining guilloché, grand feu enameling, and miniature enamel painting techniques. On the front of the dial, intricate guilloché patterns are visible beneath translucent enamel. On the reverse, the miniature enamel painting process takes over 80 hours, with artisans faithfully recreating the artist's brushstrokes on a mere 2 square centimeters. The Métiers Rares™ atelier unites engraving, enameling, and painting to transform Xu Beihong's vision into a dynamic, intimate dialogue with horological artistry.
